Hi
I am seeing the same problem when i try to connect to 1 of 2 clustered CRM servers(full servers).
I also get the error if i try to connect to the server remotly from server 2..
connecting to server 2 works great.

I am having som tracing problems(lot of event about tracer errors in logs) on server 1.

Been trying to look trough the code to finde what is triggering it but i can'd find it.

Any idee where i should start looking.. cant find any error log in the diag tool.

Hopeing for a quick reply.

one more smale thing. If i open the troubleshooting file for support and press the" Generate troubleshooting file" button there I get a An "error occured While generating the report: Attempted to devide by zero"

So, you tell me remote tracing does not work, am I correct?

More, you can't create a troubleshooting file: How many orgs did you select?

Hi Tanguy92.
No neither remotet or local trace is working on server 1.
It works great on server 2.

If i go to the troubleshooting report when im on server 1 an press the generate raport i get the can't devide bye zero error.

Server 1 and 2 are loadbalanced and hosting the same org.
any ide what it could be?

If you need any logs or something lett me know.

Hi.
The problem occures as son as i start the application.
I will just not connect on server 1 but works on server 2.

It works perfect if I use default path for trace files. However if I change path I don't get any files.

The user can change the path for the platform tracing log directory but the logs still go to the default path (i.e., "C:\program files\microft dynamics crm\trace".

I have the same problem. It's is not big issue but I think that should be possible to change default location for trace files.

I've used this tool with great success in the past. I'm working with a new client and I can not get it to generate logs in their environment.

It's on-premise 2011 R14.

I'm running it on the right server with the right reg keys. I ran the tool as administrator and I have permission to write to the output directory.

Despite a configuration textbox in the tool, all logs go to InstallFolder\Trace

Did you check at this location?

Thanks for the quick response. In my case it's C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Trace

I realized this application is a UI layer that does a lot of the things here:

Project Description
Diagnostics Tool for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 helps CRM developers and administrators to enable trace and devErrors on CRM server.

It also generates an HTML report file with information about the CRM deployment.


Whereas its name only mentions CRM 2011, it is compatible with CRM 2013 and 2015 too (OnPremise only)
